Raje'Visuals

This little light of mine,

I'm gonna let it shine...

Her name is RoNeesha Jackson and nearly by nature she has become an all-around lover of the fine arts and a visual storyteller for the dramatic, cinematic and digital arts. Her fascination with being in front of the camera started at the age of three and developed tremendously over her lifespan. In elementary, she loved to write short stories for hours on end and by high school she developed a passion for not just writing but acting as well. However, it was towards her later years in high school she became more curious with the magic happening behind the camera and ultimately decided to study the film and television industry.

It was on her journey at Michigan State where she really gained her vision and further developed her hidden talents. The camera in itself, really opened a gateway into her mind and perspective allowing her to transpire her ideas into a multitude of art forms. As a young woman who values self love, strong faith, hard work and is confident in all she does, she intentionally lives her life to the fullest while striving to encourage others along the way and serve the purpose that God intended for her to fulfill. She identifies heavily with the title of an Art Director and Production Designer. In whole, she considers herself to be a creative director, filmmaker, photographer, graphic designer, writer, part time actress and full time “fashioneesha”. She also considers herself to be one goofy yet cool, positively vibrating, rhythmically self in tune, powerful, good natured, brown skin black beauty and transcending work of art.

Since graduating from Michigan State University in May of 2015, she has kept busy developing her professional and technical skills. Daily she continues to better her craft and further explore her interests in film and theater along with fashion, photography and graphic design. With some of her most recent accomplishments being studying abroad in India and making a hit Bollywood film and music video along with accepting the Detroit Free Press (Freep) Film award for her documentary film "Gay From Gaylord". RoNeesha intends to be one of the first and finest African American female art director/production designers. Her current goal is to continue interning and observing as many directors and PA’s in the art department. As well as continuing to volunteer with local theaters and at her church home as a technical director on the media team before pursuing a masters in a MBA/MFA dual program at New York University or University of California Los Angeles.
